Today, Iron Bonehead Productions sets August 16th as the international release date for REIGN IN BLOOD’s long-awaited comeback album, Missa Pro Defunctis, on CD and vinyl LP format. Staunchly German, REIGN IN BLOOD formed in Saxony in the dark days of 2004. Largely steered by founding vocalist/guitarist Demon Raise and drummer Athanasius, the band soon assaulted the black metal underground with a demo, a split, and an EP, all between 2006-2007. This is my first encounter with WORMWITCH. The band belongs to a kind of subgenre where gloom reigns and black metal is just one flavor in an overall tasting.
